Serra da Estrela

Serra da Estrela

by Bisi | Sep 20, 2024 | Highlights, Photography

My children’s grandfather hails from a quaint village nestled near Seia, cradled within the majestic embrace of the Serra da Estrela mountains. May the images I share below capture the breathtaking beauty of this enchanting land, revealing its splendor to your heart.

Photography is often less about showing a place exactly as it is, and more about preserving the feeling it left behind. This series captures moments, textures, light, movement and small details that might otherwise disappear too quickly. Whether the scene is natural, urban, quiet or intense, the aim is not only to document it, but to share a personal way of seeing it.

These images are part of my attempt to slow down, observe more carefully, and find beauty in places that are sometimes spectacular, sometimes ordinary, but always worth a second look.
